This project is based on an ongoing commitment to memorialising the people who died in Nijmegen due to incidents in the Second World War. Here are links to the crash of FW211 (n.b. the main picture is of Hees, Nijmegen, but of a prior incident in 1942)

The four ladies were all inside 148 Dorpsstraat when FW211 hit the roof from behind, and the house collapsed (see the aftermath footage posted earlier).

A 95-year old lady who worked in the bakery next door still remembers that day clearly, and the memories are very emotional for her.
