Maryborough Military & Colonial Museum and Thomas John Lennie

Lennie TJ

Thanks to the kindness of the Museum’s directors, we have this Maryborough Chronicle clipping, along with the information that “he is on the Maryborough Cenotaph (pictured earlier) and the Anglican Church book”, and that “Thomas Lennie was born in Maryborough on 6 February 1913. He enlisted in the RAAF on 25 April 1942. After initial training at home, he went to Canada for further training to become a navigator. From there he went to England with 98 Squadron RAF. His last mission was with a Mitchell Bomber FW194 over Arnhem, Holland on 25 September 1944. His AWM files are not open and we have not been able to locate any of his relatives.”, some of which is new to us.
