“…I have him in Clifton, Darling Downs, Queensland and then later in Maryborough. A schoolteacher, he enlisted in the RAAF on 25Apr1942 in Brisbane and was seconded to RAF 98 Squadron.

He appears on Maryborough War Memorial…

His father, also Thomas, was a seaman born 1881 in Christchurch, New Zealand and who died 1 Dec 1919 of tuberculosis in Maryborough. His mother Chrissie (maiden name Garton) was a Maryborough girl born about Nov 1886, and she died 16 Sep 1963 of circulatory problems. They were both baptists.
